More than just wire ropes

Caleb joined UniLift in 2012, beginning his heavy-lift career in the lifting inspection team before moving into wire rope production, then welding and fabrication. Over more than a decade, he has developed broad and deep expertise across all aspects of lifting and rigging equipment.

His focus has since shifted to specialty steel wire rope, with particular emphasis on the crane, drilling and specialist lift industries. Beyond his technical role, Caleb contributes directly to the company’s future, playing an integral part in management and the strategic vision that continues to drive UniLift’s growth.

With more than a decade at UniLift, Calvin brings practical experience and a hands-on approach to every project. As Director, he oversees global product sourcing and business development across Western Australia, ensuring clients receive the right goods delivered on time and without compromise.

Raised in a family business, Calvin developed an early understanding of accountability and what it takes to deliver under pressure. Known for his honest communication and his ability to spot risks before they become problems, he is a team player who is energised by complex challenges and tight deadlines. Clients value his product expertise and commitment to seeing every job through as specified, with no surprises.

Rob joined the team in 2021, bringing a strong background in logistics, warehousing and management. He oversees production planning, dispatch, freight handling, storekeeping, systems administration and customer service, ensuring clients are provided with the right stock, right on time.

Rob is known for his knack for spotting data errors before they become problems, and a natural ability to motivate the people around him. He thrives under pressure — the busier things get, the more focused he becomes. One thing experience has taught him: you have to see and touch products to truly understand quality; there are no photo or video substitutes for that.

Raphael joined UniLift in 2021 and is part of our NATA-accredited Testing & Inspection team. With exceptional technical knowledge, he ensures every wire rope and lifting product is tested to the relevant Australian Standards — backed by hands-on experience installing and inspecting wire ropes on-site across mining and heavy industry.

Dom joined UniLift in early 2022, bringing years of experience in mining, heavy machinery, steel fabrication and transport. He works within the sales team, looking after clients predominantly across Queensland and New South Wales, with a specialist focus on high-performance synthetic slings and steel wire rope.

Always approachable and willing to go the extra mile, Dom is known for his sharp sense of humour and genuine commitment to great client outcomes.

With more than 30 years’ experience across the wire rope, rigging, lifting equipment, and heavy industrial sectors, Bertus is known for his technical expertise, practical problem-solving, and unwavering focus on safety. As a Sales Representative for UniLift in Queensland, he works closely with customers to deliver compliant lifting solutions that perform reliably in demanding environments.

Bertus takes a hands-on role in complex and high-risk projects, overseeing technical specifications, risk assessments, and final verification to ensure nothing is left to chance. His experience has given him a strong instinct for identifying hidden risks before they become costly problems, and he is passionate about contributing to safer operations. Clients value his honest advice, clear communication and commitment to delivering solutions that protect people, reduce downtime and keep projects moving safely.

Herbert joined Unilift Global Pty Ltd on 15 November 2021. He is a qualified and licensed Mechanical Engineer from the Philippines with experience in lifting, rigging, and safety equipment inspection and testing. As an Inspection and Testing Officer, he is responsible for conducting inspections, proof load testing, and ensuring compliance with applicable Australian Standards and industry requirements.

In addition to his technical responsibilities, Herbert serves as the Quality Assurance Representative, overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the company's quality management system. He manages activities related to NATA accreditation and compliance with both ISO/IEC 17025 (Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and ISO/IEC 17020 (Inspection Bodies), ensuring that inspection and testing activities are conducted in accordance with relevant accreditation requirements. He also supports continuous improvement initiatives and promotes quality, technical competence, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
